Hi Guys. I haven,t punched keys in quite a while. I just want to say i been building Flatheads for 70 years and used alot of Cams. Pete has built cams for me for a long time and I love all of them....

Flathead Jack is right, The skirt tappered about .002 up. I used to get semmy pistons and grind them any size I needed. Walt

No, the 8ba wheel won't work on a 59ab block, that's probably why the gear came off. I've tryed both wheels and the gear is in or out futher, cain't remember. Walt

It looks like a early wheel, 59ab style, The gear looks wide like 59ab and older. Everdently the gear has just come off. Put a new gear on. Walt

Hi Lawie. I think those bearings are made during the War, the big one, you could not get and needed a crank somewhere around 40-41 you could usually find an early small crank and use those thick...

Put the new engine in an old stock car, git on an old track, pedel to the floor about 30-40 laps, if it holds up it back in the street car, it will run for ever. Walt PS ask Old Ron.

I've bought one of those hard rubber mates at Tractor Supply they use it in horse stalles, it must be about 5x9 and about 1in. thick , I use it in front of my bench, it will roll an engine stand...

The Merc crank will drop into 39 -41 block, use 39-41 main bearings, use the 59ab aluminum top main rope seal retainer, use the special aluminum seal retainer in main cap, you can get the rear...

Remove all rods nuts and caps, a few you cain't get at, remove all main bearing nuts and caps, hook a chain on the snout of the crank, hook chain on a stud on the back of the crank, under chain...
