When Timing Dist. which direction advances the timing I am having a brain fart this afternoon. When timing a Model A which direction do you move the rotor to advance the timing?
The rotor turns counter clockwise when the engining is running so the question is when loosening the cam screw which direction do you turn the rotor to advance the timing.? |
Re: When Timing Dist. which direction advances the timing Counter Clockwise Gord. B

Re: When Timing Dist. which direction advances the timing Is this a stock distributor that is pined in place by the head, or an aftermarket one that you turn and clamp down? The reason I ask is that you advance and retard the distributor cam to change the timing not the rotor in a original dissy.

Re: When Timing Dist. which direction advances the timing This is set up as a standard factory dist.
So to confirm, Counter Clockwise to advance Clockwise to retard. Thanks, |
