how do you seperate the hub and drum?

Remove the hub nuts and bolts and the hub should come free of the drum. They may be rusted together, so some heat would be of help or some sort of penetrant oil.

Wood or wire wheels? Wood ones drive the bolts all out. Replace with new ones!!! Wire wheel hubs have a stud thats swaged into the drum. Have a motor parts with a press do those. ws

thank you sir . these are steel spoke rims and the studs seem to be welded to thehub I was thinking maybe I could press the center of the hub through the drum but I was wondering what would happen to the bolts?

If front hub, the long nose of the front hub fits snug to the taper snout of the Ford T wire wheel center, you have to use lots of good penetrating oil (WD-40 is not a penetrating oil) or heat if really rust stuck from years.

Press on the hub with the wheel supported, the lug bolts are swaged in the front hubs, the rear hubs are usually keyed with upturned metal lug on the rear drum inside. Over the years some owner may have welded the lug bolts in the hubs as easy fix, but terrible for replacing the lug bolts :(
