Hey all, what's everyone using for hubcaps on 16" steels when you put them on mechanical spindle drums. (yes i used the spacer from wires to steels) i have the rocky mountain drums on my 34'.
I found merc caps to be deeper than the 40-48 ford caps, any one else found others besides the chrome dome smoothies? spindle, bearings and caps are too deep to use 40's caps without modification.

With respect, I would be more concerned about the lack of the studs being long enough to come to the end of the lug nut.

You might look at the Canadian Monarch caps. They are deeper than the Ford caps. They have an embossed lion in the center. They were reproduced, but last I heard they are currently not available. The last price I saw was from CW Moss and they were $80 per cap and the catalog is about 5 years old. Not sure but the other Canadian caps (46-48) may be the same depth and are probably available.

I have since changed out the studs.
