Plumbing a single master cylinder Can anyone send me a plumbing diagram for a model A hydraulic brake conversion. I am trying to figure out how to plumb my single master cylinder with a 10 lb rpv from the outlet of the master cylinder to the connection of the front and rear brake lines and a low pressure brake light switch. From what I have researched the switch needs to be plumbed before the rpv so it will work correctly. Anyone have a picture or diagram of this plumbing would be greatly appreciated.

Plumb the switch first out of the master cylinder, then the rpv, BUT I would strongly suggest installing a mechanical brake light switch on the pedal bracket (assuming chassis mounted pedals) vs the crappy hydraulic switches now available. A quality weather resistant mechanical, like the Ron Francis SW42 I use on several cars, can handle high current halogen bulbs and allows sensitivity adjustment a pressure switch cannot. |
Re: Plumbing a single master cylinder Please tell us what you are using for the master cylinder. If the early Ford type, there is residual check valve already in it.
