Parade Music for the Tonner. I’m hoping one of you electrical gurus can give some advice on how to set up a sound system on the Tonner. It has a Whitney 6 Volt 40 Amp Positive Ground Alternator that I would like to use to drive a 110 Volt AC amplifier to send sound to two 50 Watt Bose speakers mounted on the truck. If using the 6 V alternator isn’t feasible any suggestions to accomplish the same result will be appreciated. Providing some patriotic music during parade events this coming year is something that I think parade watchers might appreciate. Thanks.

Mount a 12v (si 10) alternator on the differential and mount a battery on the frame rail back there then you can run all the 12v you need.

Re: Parade Music for the Tonner. Thanks Yobbo. That's one helluva ingenious solution, but it involves too much surgery on the Tonner at this point. Just out of curiosity how does the driveshaft speed affect the alternator performance especially when in low gear ?

Re: Parade Music for the Tonner. There are 6 to 12 volt inverters, but not sure how many amps they make. Look em up on ebay

Re: Parade Music for the Tonner. Amazon also for an inverter
