35 vaporlock
 

having trouble with what I think is vaporlock. What are people using to plug the heat holes in the intake manifold?

I do have old original coil and condenser, that could be the problam

Ed Smith used freeze plugs in the block on my engine. No real need for vaporization on Arizona cars.

I'm glad you added that last. I believe "vapor lock" has become a generalized term to cover a vast number of ignition problems. You seem to already know that your ignition system is not "up to snuff", so why not do something about that before chasing ghosts?

I have an incorrect 37 intake on it now, putting the correct intake it now. thought I should plug the holes. Distributer will be sent off this winter

We don't know where Mr. "drezin" lives. Since he mentions "winter" in one of his posts, I don't imagine it's in the Magnolia Belt. Perhaps plugging the heat risers is not the best idea, especially with a weak coil and condenser. It will probably lead to eliminating "heat soak" in exchange for "carb icing".

Get your fuel pump and coil rebuilt.
