My 1956 Ford Convertible that has a fuel problem.
Is there information on a blocked fuel pick-up tube on how to repair?

Pick up tube? Isn't the fuel line fitting on the bottom edge of the tank like a '54?

I use a length of speedometer cable core to push into the tank outlet bung. My Mercury cars have an internal tube that runs along the bottom and angle up then straight back to act as a stand pipe just above the bottom. Pulling the tanks is a PITA but sometimes it's the only way to get the crud out of the bottom. It can build up pretty thick over decades of setting. My Mercs have drain plugs in the tank but not all do.

I squirt MEK in and then start poking. Fuel tank work is not fun.
