31 Eaton radiator cap I have a choice 31 Eaton radiator cap, but it is unusable because the inside steel portion rotates within the stainless shell. Does anyone know of a reliable way to fix this?

I also recommend that you add corrosion prevention to the cap.

Re: 31 Eaton radiator cap The corrosion protection is a good idea. I use POR on my gas caps and the coating lasts a few years before it begins to peel. At least whatever peels off is likely caught in the spark arrestor so no contamination of the fuel.

Re: 31 Eaton radiator cap 1 Attachment(s)
I had a similar problem a while back. The difference was mine was on the car and I couldn't get it to release. I ended up drilling a small hole and putting a pin through it so that both parts were locked together. This was a mint Eaton, that had been restored. Now sitting on the shelf waiting for a solution.....
I am currently running a locking cap with a greyhound. |
