1950 Ford Crestliner water pump

A friend called and said he sees antifreeze on the floor under his 50 Crestliner.
It has the original Flathead V8 in it. I have not looked at the car/engine yet.
Is a water pump readily available?? Or will I have to rebuild/? think there are two water pumps on his engine.

First take a look.
Could be a hose clamp that needs tightening.

Otherwise, 50-51 water pumps are available. Some of the 'new' ones have improved bearings and impellers.

But there are several places to check before pulling a water pump.

We stock them as do most other vendors for flathead V8 engines. The pumps are the EAB type with the narrow belt pulleys. I think most of the offerings out there now will have the sealed ball bearings, carbon-ceramic seals, and the improved impeller design.
