1939 Deluxe Radiator What radiator do I need for my 1939 Deluxe with an 8BA?
Original radiator was lost when I took it to a shop I had used for 30+ years, closed and liquidated everything after the owners death. I dropped it there before I actually started working on the car. I bought one Cooling and Radiator Specialist about 2 years ago. It is too short and the top hoses don't clear the fan. Thank you, Wick |
Re: 1939 Deluxe Radiator You will need a radiator for a 39 DeLuxe but will have to use a reducer on the top hoses.

You could also use these water outlets made for the 8BA to use the larger hoses.

Re: 1939 Deluxe Radiator 40 Fords use a 91A radiator.

Re: 1939 Deluxe Radiator If you are trying to use the 8BA fan set up, it won't clear the upper hoses.
Do a search here on how to adapt a crank mounted fan. |
Re: 1939 Deluxe Radiator If you are looking for a 'fine' replacement then speak to these folks. My original 89 year old radiator was not getting the job done... so they built a new one for me. It is great! Used it all through this past summer... cools great and is a 7PSI radiator.

If only I had the last radiator that was in the car. I already have the larger hoses.
Does this radiator have upper supports. Thanks Wick |

Re: 1939 Deluxe Radiator The folks at usradiator make to order. Call and speak to them and I am willing to bet that they can fit just what you need. Now it seems it took a bit over a month for me to get mine but it fits well and works great!
