Looking for PICTURES of headlight wiring eliminating springs. Looking for pictures of how 30\31 headlights are wired eliminating spring connections.
If spring connections are replaced with bullet ends on the bucket side. What holds the conduit in place. That little dimple/pimple does not seem to be enough to hold the conduit in place without spring tension. What am I missing? |
Re: Looking for PICTURES of headlight wiring eliminating springs. Maybe put a cable tie around the dimple/pimple inside the headlight bucket?

Re: Looking for PICTURES of headlight wiring eliminating springs. 2 Attachment(s)
I removed the core from the socket and reinstalled the socket, then installed bullet ends and push connectors for the wires. Have had no issue with the conduit falling off. You could squeeze the conduit head slightly to make it a bit out of round, it would grab onto the headlight socket that way.
Both the wires (high beam and low beam) coming from my (likely repop) bulb socket were black. I used colored tape to identify which goes to the black/red wire and which goes to the black/yellow wire. |
Re: Looking for PICTURES of headlight wiring eliminating springs. Thanks for the suggestions and pictures. Hoping for some warm, dry weather in NY soon.
