Seat Belt Spacing?

I plan to install front seat lap belts in my '55 Vicky and want to know the recommended horizontal spacing for the anchor bolts?

When I do my '54 I plan to measure the spacing on my other vehicles.

Since the 56’s came with optional belts, I’d guessing some were dealer installed. Those instructions will be out there someplace with the restoration guys. Should be close enough for a 55 or a 54. Crown Vic association maybe?

Sorry...nothing helpful yet. I believe my answer will be to simply measure several installs at the next car show...no problem.

I have an INSTRUCTION SHEET here but it is pdf and the resolution is not that great.

Let me attach it to see if it comes through. CLICK on ATTACHED FILES.

The 1st gives the FORM PUBLICATION NOS from the ACCESSORY BELT KIT.

Double check underneath the floor before poking any holes from the top. Having the frame, brake or fuel lines in the way just won't do.

I placed the center of mine near the hump, thinking the curved metal may be stronger. The outers were just beyond where the frame is Big deal was holes in the carpet. never try to drill carpet. It will be a mess. Best to use a hole punch from your gasket making kit against a 2x4 under the carpet. If you don't have one, make an X with a new sharp razor blade.
