40-B cam verses 11A cam in dist

Will I notice any differences in performance? Gas mileage , acceleration,,
What will the additional advance give me?

The 11A has a better advance curve. Must use in conjunction with the 11A weights.

To change from the 40B to 11A you have to change the shaft, weights and the breaker plate. To me the advantage of using the 37-48 points is the best advantage of the conversion. The better advance curve helps but is not as drastic as people think.

I made up a spare dist with the 11A shaft and the small points, installed it awhile back,
I couldn’t see any difference at the time, maybe install one then the other, might be able to feel the difference,,

If your still using the flattop pistons you may have trouble with too much advance.
