Shock needle valve Can someone tell me how to determine what needle valve I need for a 30 Roadster shock? I know it's not the pointer one. That was used only on 1928 A's.The square head was used until October of 1930. The hex head was used from November 30 until the end of A production. How do I tell what time frame my A falls in? Thanks

Re: Shock needle valve The frame number, if original, will indicate the build date of the frame.

Re: Shock needle valve Engine number is A4128761. How can I determine the build date of the car from this number? Also how does one know if this is not a replacement engine.

Lift the body slightly off the frame and *hope* the number (from the photo above) is readable. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: Shock needle valve Try a rubbing , lead pencil and paper. Several sources for engine numbers and monthly ford production records. The hard part is verifying the frame stamping. If you have the interest the judging standards are sold by the parts houses and show the numbers I believe.
