Try SEAL-All, available in hardware stores.

My neighbor used it on a leaking Ford pickup gas tank. It did the trick. I use it on the jet well plugs on rebuilt carburetors.

Whats this "seal all" stuff.Ive been using "lock-tite 222" for this same thing.Expensive as you know around $12 a tiny little bottle??? Any cheaper also use it on float screw on stroms. ken ct. Send PM if you want.

Click on the link in my post. I've used it on jet well plugs as stated, also on the Stromberg float pins. I've also used Permatex High Tack 80062 for the same thing.

Bad thing about Permatex stuff, it is purple and VERY sticky!! Hard to get off if you goof.
