Coolant Filter

What does the coolant filter go and what does it look like?

Re: Coolant Filter

Depends, I think as many people make their own as purchase one. I made mine out of a fine stainless screen inserted at the top inlet to the radiator in the hose. I shaped it into a conical shape.

Re: Coolant Filter

A frequently used/mentioned is the Gano filter, all coolant filters should be placed in the Upper Hose to keep rust/scale/junk out of the radiator.

I used a nylon sock at the upper radiator/ hose connection.

I use the Gano and like it. You can see if it is clogged up.
