Stromberg 97 jet question

Discovered one jet was a thread or two from seating. How would that, if at all, affect how the motor would run? Would it run lean on low vacuum situations? Thanks for any ideas. Rod

Re: Stromberg 97 jet question

If it was just backed off a thread or two, it's probably not enough to block off the supply of fuel from the bowl. It might leak a little fuel around the threads when there is suction from the emulsion tubes, but chances are you may not even notice any thing wrong with the performance.
Also, the jets hold the emulsion tubes in place (seat on them), so possible the tube came down as far as the loose jet was.
