Carb gasket wicking gas I recently had my Holley 94 double barrel carb rebuilt. Seems to be working fine. I have noticed that the upper gasket is damp with gas, more toward the front above the bowl than the rear of the carb. I have made sure that the bolts are tight. Anyone seen this? Is the a fix? The shop that did the rebuild has been doing these carbs for years. I will be in touch with them. Anyone want to weigh in.

Re: Carb gasket wicking gas Float setting may be a bit high.

Re: Carb gasket wicking gas Could be the top was not tightened evenly at some point in time warping the top.

Re: Carb gasket wicking gas After you find out why you have such an abundance of gasolene, apply a thin layer of this to both sides of your gasket. Buy the tube.

Re: Carb gasket wicking gas Fuel lube is good for radiator and gas cap gaskets also. Makes them easier to turn.
