Transmission Leak

I have a big leak on my 1937 Ford transmission. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what is involved with dropping the transmission to put new seal/gaskets in it? Thank you

What's leaking? Where?

It looks like it is leaking on the top/back end of transmission. The fluid is traveling from the back down to the drain plug.

Question: Do you happen to have a lot of 'rake' on the car? (big and littles, dropped axle, etc).

Is it possible the torque tube is running at a downward angle toward the transmission . . . or is the car pretty much stock height and the torque tube angles down toward the banjo rear as Henry built it?

Have a 2" drop, but it leaked before I dropped it.

It can leak from anywhere like the tower, the shafts, pin, the mounting gasket [depending on model] the torque tube housing and clams.. , If your oil is quite thin it can make it worse..

Some leak from the rear around the layshaft and reverse idler shaft where they push into the housing. Geoff
