front spring question

My '36 pickup sits about an inch and a half lower on the passenger side than the driver's. Also, at full droop, the wheel is definitely lower on that side-the shackle is nearly horizontal. It's as if the spring on that side has lost some of its...spring. Is that possible? I measured it and it seems pretty much centered. It has been that way for quite awhile. Thoughts?

Thanks,

Adam

Re: front spring question

Adam, I would check the nuts that tighten the "U" bolts that hold the spring into the front cross member, and the "U" bolts. I had a friend that had a similar situation and found that one of the "U" bolts snapped. The other thing I would check is your shackles, one could be frozen. It is possible, but very unusual that one side of the spring could loose it's spring rate.

OK thanks, I'll definitely look at those things. I was thinking myself it would be unusual.
