Excellent! Problem solved. Are you still running the hotter plugs? Do they make any difference?

yes i'm running the b4l ngk.....engine goes around 180 deg......now accelerate very fast and haule ass!:cool:....i think all the changes make that difference....sure the hotter plugs help the engine ....:)

If you are running an 8BA with a Stromberg carb (97) and a distributor that needs vacuum, such as the stock 8BA, it is likely that there is no timing advance. That would certainly explain your problems. The 8BA requires the correct carb so the vacuum can be drawn above the throttle plates.
