F1 Radiator Fan Shroud

Are the radiator fan shrouds on the `48 thru `52 pickups the same for six cylinder and V-8's?

No, but could be made to work.

Bruce,
Is it pretty simple like drilling some extra holes?

Thanks

Re: F1 Radiator Fan Shroud

The V8 has two reliefs across the bottom for the radiator hoses, the six only has one. The fan on the six is right on the water pump, so I'm thinking it isn't centered on the radiator like the V8.

edit: looking at pictures of the 6, the fan does look to be centered

Re: F1 Radiator Fan Shroud

Probably easier to put a v8 shroud on a 6 than the other way around. The v8 radiator has 4 hose connections and the six only has two. The v8 shroud is dimpled at the bottom for the two hoses. Not sure if the fans are located in the same spot between the two engines. There is a v8 shroud on ebay now although a bit pricey.
