KR Wilson distributor fixture V-126

Scored one this morning and my wallet never left my pocket
Long story short, filling up the 32 pickup and got talking to a gentleman who was knowledgeable on flatheads. Told me he had a fixture for setting the distributor dwell and asked if I wanted it. Cleaned it up and will put it to work shortly.

Appears it has the adapter on top for the later distributor also.

I was fortunate to find one too, with instruction sheet. I enjoy setting up my distributors knowing that they are properly adjusted with this tool. Love it!

So I must be missing something. I put a crab style distributor in it but it doesn’t seem to go down far enough to meet the, for lack of a better description, the wheel that turns on the fixture.

The 2-hole ring on top is an adapter to the 3-hole timing tool. It requires another adapter to extend the 2-hole shaft to the bottom of the tool. It looks like this. You can go to a similar fixture for sale last year on H.A.M.B. and see the adapter in the kit. The picture is from Speedway motors catalog. I don't know if would work on the KR Wilson tool or not.

I have one but never use it - I have a 'Bear" Gauge which is easier to use and allows you to set up both the left and right points with much more accuracy than the KRW unit

Looking at that KR fixture someone has added two spacer plates ,that should take the crab then you remove them to do the Diver unit ,

There is only one plate which is the adapter for the crab. Problem is, the crab doesn’t sit low enough to engage the degree wheel. As someone else mentioned, I am missing a piece to make up the difference
