29 Tudor is finished! What do ya think of her now! 7 Attachment(s)
Hey guys I think that I am finished with the 29 Tudor!!!!!:D Put on my new Firestone's today that I picked up at Arden car show Friday and a few extra new chromed parts! I know that a lot of you have seen this car before in previous posts but I thought that I would post the finished car what do ya think? I have had a lot of fun and "headaches" with this car it being my first Model A and I can say that right or wrong(and I am sure there is a lot wrong) I did it all myself but with a lot of your all's help here on Fordbarn and from my club here in East Tennessee and from some great members from the Smokey Mountain Model A club in Knoxville Tn. so a BIG THANK YOU!!! to all that has answered my posts and to all others that helped! As I said in another post I just turned 42 years old and I had Cancer 4 years ago, had another CT scan this week and still Cancer free!!! So with that news and getting the Tudor finished this week HAS BEEN A GREAT WEEK!!! So now I owe thanks to my wife for putting up with me and my hobbies and a promised picnic lunch out in the country in the car and to the most important to the Heavenly Father to let me have another year being Cancer free and for living in the greatest country on Earth! Happy 4th of July everybody! Thanks again everybody Robert DeBord.

Re: 29 Tudor is finished! What do ya think of her now! A very nice job indeed! Happy to see you went with the blackwalls. They look better than the whites (or yellows) would have. Truely looks like a car of it's day, which is what restoration is supposed to be. As to your health, pray the Lord blesses you further.

Re: 29 Tudor is finished! What do ya think of her now! It looks GREAT!!! It will mean so much more to you knowing that you built it. Anyone can buy one but a select few will spend the time hard work, headaches, and the need for Band-aids from time to time. All I can say is you are a craftsman. Enjoy Super Job. Ron

Re: 29 Tudor is finished! What do ya think of her now! Robert,
Looks great! What kind of interior light did you end up using? lol |
Re: 29 Tudor is finished! What do ya think of her now! Hey guys sorry I have been slow getting back to you me and the wife have been on R and R and a little bad news had to go back for another CT scan today my cancer doctor found a black spot on my my lung says that he does not think its nothing(I hope) so my mind has been elsewhere than here on Fordbarn so wish me luck on the results also to Terry Longest I didn't put an interior light in the Tudor I was told that they didn't have one hope that was right? And to Beverly Hillbilly about the flag shield bolts on my tag I found them in an old outbuilding at my late Uncles house plus a lot of the red reflector style bolts for the tag's also just thought the flag's were old and neat. Thanks for all the great reports on the car I have worked hard on her and I guess you never really get "done" because I am going to go through the braking system to get better brakes on the car so thanks to everybody for the kind words and keep me in your prayers that I have a good outcome on the new CT scan that I had done today. Thanks again Robert DeBord.

Re: 29 Tudor is finished! What do ya think of her now! Nice car Robert! We should start the Cancer Survivors '29 Sedan club.
|
Re: 29 Tudor is finished! What do ya think of her now! Very nice!!!! But is it ever done? It seems to me that when I finished my Town Sedan, some of the things I did at the begging of the build had to be done again in the end like the chrome handles and side mirrors needed replacing again. Maybe I shouldn't have taken so long restoring her. Anyway Good luck and God's speed with her..... Enjoy!!!!!
