- I own a small touring company in Detroit; we give tours in Model A Fords. I have a great mechanic in Burton Michigan, but I am learning as much as I can about fixing the Model A's because, well, time is Money and my mechanic is in Burton. I love to learn about history and share it with others, and that is why I started Antique Touring Company. We share the magic of Detroit's history of with visitors and community members from behind the wheel of cars that made that history. Our newest tour is sponsored by Motor City Heritage Area: Tinkers to Titans in the Auto Age. It debuts the first week of May and covers Milwaukee Junction where Ford, Nash, Studebaker, Regal, Detroit Electric, Fisher, Murray, Briggs...you get the idea...got their start. We then head to Highland Park to discuss the significance of the efforts of Ford at the Highland Park Plant to make automobiles affordable for workers.
