- I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as a new member of the forum. Have been in the Okanagan since the early 80’s and a member of the Cam Jammers Car Club of Vernon/Armstrong area for 20+ years. Upon moving to Kelowna I joined the Kelowna Kustoms.
My Hot Rod days started back in Ontario in 1972 at the age of 16 when I began to Hot Rod a 50 Chev pkup. This project was sold in the fall of 73 when I purchased a running 58 Impala off a used lot in Winterpig for $50.00. I had the Impala for only 5 or 6 months when a persistent fellow purchased it off me for the hugely inflated value of $150.00, I needed the money for the 36 Ford 5 window project started in the spring of 74, when I joined the International Early Iron Car Club in Fort Frances Ont.
