Smile Installing body side molding-1925 Coupe

Assuming all molding should be fitted and installed before paint? How does one crimp the outer shell to the nail strip?

Any suggestions from the experienced would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks a bunch...

I put it on and then fill the dents and straighten it out. I had to squeeze it to get it to crimp over the nail strip. It is a pain, but it will go on. Make sure you start it in the place you want it at the door, once you get much on it won't move very easy.
