1931 Steel Top Ford Pickup
City:
Bellingham
State:
WA
Price:
$2300
New Price: $1900 for everything.
So, after much thinking, I decided I want to go with a different body style than the pickup. I would like to sell this cab and bed to gain a little work shop space while I decide which route to go. I haven't had the time to work on it like I thought I would, but it doesn't really need much to be a good cab and bed. I am saddened to switch, as this is truly a rare truck. It has been chopped 3", but I have the pieces that were removed if you want to put them back together. I bought this from elmitcheristo (off the HAMB). I was going to build a driver for around town, but decided a few days ago that I would like to go the traditional/stock route. The pros: The truck has a very solid frame and is in overall good shape. The doors are in nice shape and have had patch panels welded in one side and spot welded on the other. The windows roll up and down. It has a speedometer, gas gauge, ammeter and ignition. I have a few other parts that go with it too. The cons: Needs a rear patch panel and seat pan panel. Other than that, just spots need to be finished. I never got around to it as I was busy working on my frame/chassis and discovered engine problems that drew my attention away from the body. The bed is in so-so shape and needs quite a few patches, but the wooden frame is in very good shape. Overall, this is quite a nice late '31 pickup looking for a good home and someone to show it some love. It is close to be able to be primed and painted. I am looking to sell more than trade for anything. The price is fair at $1900 or best offer. I would like to get my garage back and get some space to work. I have too small of a garage to keep this in it unmounted on the frame. If you would like more photos, please PM and I will post them up or post your email and I'll shoot them to you. Thank you for looking. James Last edited by Model A Fan; 08-05-2012 at 10:47 AM. Reason: New price. |

The back just needs a patch panel. It is $55 from Mac's.

That would be a great buy, if it was not chopped. It's very restorable. MIKE |

The truck was mainly my ex-girlfriend's dad's idea and I should have focused on getting the frame running first before I found a body...live and learn. I guess some things aren't supposed to last forever. |
