40-41 pickup front fender splash shield install?
Looking for pictures of installed front fender splash shields or brace. Not sure what their correct name is. These came with the truck and they are obviously different than one another. I can fabricate one to look like the other if one is correct. I only have one mounting point at the lower edge at the end of the wheel opening on the fender. I just can’t really tell how they mount.

The picture BELOW shows a RIGHT HAND fender, upside down with splash shield installed at BOTTOM, REAR of fender. It attaches between fender rear and the frame side rail. Coop |

A few more pictures
Note that the fender tab is missing so I used two rubber bumpers to keep the shield in place. Last edited by glennpm; 12-13-2023 at 09:39 AM. |

Here are a couple of pics of my wife’s truck I am building splash shields. First off I had to trim them for my 4-bar front suspension. Second I remember it giving me some problems as my front fenders had a-lot of repairs and curvatures were not exactly right. The only way things got close was to bolt the fenders to the running boards first and that helped. And they still needed some adjustments after that. Any questions give me a holler here …. |

Re: 40-41 pickup front fender splash shield install?
some of the reproductions were made wrong (of course) but not too wrong. I believe a tab or something was bent the wrong way. Anyway when you see from the pics on how they mount you will be able to see what needs to be done if you have repros. They are good and work but confusing until you know what they are supposed to do.
