Normally that is the place where the bell crank for the linkage for spark advance is found on RHD cars

From the rough casting it was likely made in Argentina.
I agree with that. The post for the bell crank has been cut off and drilled for the vacuum fitting.
Every model A around here has those manifolds except the foreign ones imported from the US.

This is an unbelivable thing. Just 5 days ago I acquired the exact same unit.

In post #20 see photo

Yes the WIPER port is located at left side of manifold near manifold mounting bolt #4.

Look for the BRASS fitting and copper tubing which has been crimped over and cut off in this photo.

This is where vacuum port is located.

I've posted a close up of the vacuum port for both the late and early manifold for a 1932 model B 4 cylinder. This is used to run the windshield wipers.

"The attached picture is the earliest version where the large vacuum opening in the front was to provide vacuum through a pipe that was routed around the front of the engine to a vacuum-assisted clutch that never made into production. The second smaller opening on the side directly above where the carburetor attaches is for the vacuum line to the windshield wiper motor." (Credit to David Rehor).

See string titled: "After 1932 model b intake?"

This is correct as posted on the V8 Forum. The port on the right was for the vacuum assisted clutch. David is the go to guy for all 1932-1934 Ford information.

This is great! Thanks for the added detail; I missed the vacuum port since I didn't see a line coming off of it. Thanks for all of your help!
