Default Re: Andalusite Blue Questions

Thanks for all the insight. The paint shop was kind enough to mix me two new samples (and they did it with a smile)... neither worked. One sample seemed close when I looked at it in the garage with indirect light but was definatively PURPLE (standing out from the rest of the car) in direct sunlight both with and without a sublayer of "rattle-can black".

Suggestions?

I am 99.9999% certain it is Andalusite Blue. It appears nearly black in the shade, in the right light it looks a deep-deep-dark-blueberryish-blue, and it has the french gray pinstripe. As far as my eye can tell.... anadulsite blue.

It probably was intended to be Andalusite. It's important to note that for some reason many folks seem to think Lombard is lighter. It absolutely is not. It is simply a different hue. Washington blue is lighter but a similar hue to Andalusite.
