For Sale: 1932 Ford Tudor Sedan Survivor Hot Rod 8BA motor

This is an amazing Survivor Hot Rod from the early 1950s, with period Black Paint that was done in the early 1950s, and fully restored mechanicals, like a 1952 Mercury 4” stroke 8BA, with some choice speed parts like an Isky cam, a sweet shifting rebuilt and resealed ’39 Transmission with Lincoln Zephyr gears, and installing Boling Brothers Lincoln Style Hydraulic Brakes.

The car starts immediately and idles easily breathing through a 2 carb Stromberg setup combined with vintage Edmunds intake, and Red’s headers for a beautiful Flathead exhaust note. There are lot of charming “time machine” elements on the car, enough to make you effectively imagine you are driving through the early 50s from the intact gas station oil change records on the windshield pillar, to the period accessory turn signals.

Original Steering Column, Column Drop, Steering Wheel, and Key

Original Top Insert

Original Henry Ford Black Paint on the Firewall

Factory Hood Sides, Hood Splash Apron with same patina are also included

I purchased this car in 2021, and have enjoyed many happy adventures with it, from driving road tripping it through 3 states, to participating in Jalopy Jam Up in Ontario and other more local traditional style events. I appreciate everything that is special about this car, but with the needs of the family evolving, I am happy to offer to it to another similarly minded enthusiast who will appreciate what it is.

This is the style of car that many are inspired by to build in a similar veign throughout the last 20 years, but to find one that has the direct survivor lineage back to the early 50s is rare, and hence in the main charm of this car.

1951 Mercury Flathead 4” stroke, 3 and 5/16” bore, 270 CI, Johnson adjustable Lifters, Isky Cam, High Volume Oil Pump, Bubba’s Chevy Style Distributor. Engine Built by Story Motors of Massillon, Ohio.

1939 Ford Transmission, new cluster, new bearings. Double Detent. Special Detent conversion so that it does not pop out. Shifts very positive and smooth.
