Inserted B motor help needed
So here I am with a B motor thats been running well. I picked it up many years after John Cosper built this motor and its been in a few cars and toured some during those times. All in all everything is looking good except for the rear thrust bearing. I noticed .040 crankshaft play and decided to pull the rear main to check it out and found the thrust bearing to have some wear for sure.
So forward to this last weekend, I sourced some thrust bearings I thought and got them on the way to Chickasha Pre war swap meet. Just got home decided to try to slide it in and noticed the size difference. So the Dimensions of this replacement look to be cut for the middle main not the rear. The ID of this wrong one is 1.63 and OD is2.25 The one I removed had 2.59 OD and 1.95 ID, So if anyone knows where I can get a thrust bearing this week it would be greatly appreciated. Pic below shows the size differences. Thanks in advance. |
