Another pic of the store. If you look close at the last two photos, you can see they are the same building, and this one im posting is a later pic of same building.

Re: Ill bet you havent seen one of these....
Today i decided to start work on freeing up and getting the banger going.
I drained the oil, which was just like doing a regular oil change. After years of sitting, the oil was sludge free, and flowed out real nice. I was expecting it to be thick and ugly. No real dramas, just had to shoot out and borrow a thin wall half inch socket for the rear 2 sump bolts, and one turned out to be 7/16. Once i had sump off, i got a wee surprise. Then i took the water inlet off side of block, and found mice or something had dragged leaves and stuff into the water system. I cleaned that out, then got happy with the wire wheel. It feels great to finally be getting into the engine.

Re: Ill bet you havent seen one of these....
JeffM When you rebuild the WP,drill a 1/8" hole thru impeller & shaft & put in a roll pin.I knew of one that didnt do that & when he revved the engine, the fan was pulled into the new rad & ruined it.

Re: Ill bet you havent seen one of these....
Thanks for the tip columbiA.
I finally got the engine unsiezed. Im still working on freeing up number 1 and 4 better, but 2 and 3 are perfect. I got some paint on that ol banger, and have brought new coil, radiator mounting kit, valve springs and removal tool, as well as a little bling with a nice shiny gauge panel.

A few more new items, and a pic of one of the caps, or rather the bearing.

Well the old truck may belong to a new owner, but that dosent stop me keeping an eye on it.
Its getting striped, blasted, painted, and put back together by a guy in his early twenties. Hes planning on keeping it stock, but hes also looking at building a Model A coupe hot rod. Heres some pics i took of it today.

Re: Ill bet you havent seen one of these....
A few years on, and the new owner has started a new business, so he decided to sell. I asked if he would give the new owner my details, so I can update thread. Just waiting to hear from him.
I had trouble logging in, as its been some time, but I finally remember my log in details. So hopefully the new owner gets in touch and I can keep this thread updated as to the next step in this ol Fords life.

Wow Jeff, we often complain here about knowing the outcome of a project or what is the latest. YOU, my friend have brought one out of the mothballs to let us know! How cool! Thank you!!

Brent, you never forget your first.
I put a lot of time and energy into this thing, I still get excited about it.
