Re: time for new starter brushes I suppose
I reinstalled the battery this morning and the car starts fine. It was pretty cold the other day when I tried and failed to start it but I might have done something stupid like failed to retard the...

hoping I have a single disc clutch
I will be removing the starter from our early '28 Coupe tomorrow to get it rebuilt. The engine block has been replaced at some point with a '30 model block. I hope the early multi-plate clutch was...

Re: Ford Model A Coolant Overflow Tank
Someone had rigged up an overflow on our '28 Sport Coupe when I bought it by attaching an anti-freeze jug to the firewall with wire ties and connecting a hose. I removed it on the way home and...

Re: Low to High Gear
Our '21 Touring did the same when I first started driving it.
No more...It either got "broke in" or I learned how to drive it. Just saying...

The generator has not worked on our '21 T Touring in the 3 years that we've had the car. I've been just charging the battery about once a month and putting off getting it fixed, but now the generator...

Re: #1 cylinder not doing it's share
I took my eight new valves to the machine shop and left them to get .025 ground off the stems, then I rewatched Mike Bender's video on installing valves and he said the norm is to remove .100 when...

Re: NC? Request for Antique Vehicle exam
We bought our Model T three years ago from someone in TN so it had to be inspected by the NCDMV. No big deal. A young lady came to the house, looked at the numbers on the engine then punched a few...
