if you have the crossover pipe on the front, a muffler shop should be able to fab a new single exhaust. make sure you have all hardware to attach the new pipe to the manifold

that's how I fixed our '41 speedo. drove the speedo with a square drive bit in a battery drill, in correct direction, while adding light oil onto the wick. took out all needle jumping

I had same problem with a ford 302. rolled a piece of sheet metal the correct size and height so choke cleared the air cleaner.

If you can't get rid of noisy valve train, remove rocker arm assy and check for excessive wear in rockers or the shafts. I tore into my 292 this winter and found 3 bad rockers and badly wore rocker...
