Default 1950 Ford convertible

The top frame of my convertible at the joint above the door sags. Any suggestions?

The Ford service manuel says, "To correct sag or crown in the side rails the top should be up and locked and all the windows raised. then, loosen the three cap screws at the balance link adjusting bracket. Now turn the set screw counter-clockwise to correct sag in the side rail, or clockwise to correct crown. Tighten cap screws securely after making this adjustment."

The adjusting bracket is accessible with the seat and quarter panel removed. It is where the top folds into it's recess. The set screw is behind the sheet metal, and takes an allen wrench.

This is the best that I could do. If it is not legible, let me know and I'll email it.

Great quick answers y'all. This place is great!

It's funny but a lot of times I find taking a photo of these kinds of things turns out better than using a scanner. It doesn't sound right, but often it looks better. If I had to guess, post 6 is scanned, and post 7 is a photo.

I am restoring a '50 Ford convertible. Do you need any convertible top parts. I need a right top connector piece where the right front top rail connects to the header bar. This piece is cast bronze and looks like a pitching wedge. Mine is broken where the 3 bolts attach to the header bar.

I have a spare top frame for parts if you want to email me your needs . Email is [email protected]

Where are you located? What convertible spare parts do you have that we might trade on?

Thanks,
