Default 8BA Dipstick tube removal?

Any tips on removing a dipstick tube? Engine is in the car, seems like a tight fit between block and exhaust manifold…
Tool suggestions?

As always, thanks in advance!

It might have come loose and somebody brazed it to the pan.

Maybe put something inside to prevent crushing it, then vice grips

If you can get in there, I've had luck using a plumber-type strap wrench wrapped around the base.

If possible, grip the pliers close to where it tube threads into the block.
Try not to destroy the tube.

I've used a large enough screw driver blade that fits snugly inside the opening. Then you can use a monkey wrench on the square of shaft to turn it out.
