Stuck GAV
I just re-installed my zenith carburetor (new from Snyder last year) after replacing the exhaust and intake manifolds. The GAV/choke adjustment rod will now not turn. It appears to be suck at the carburetor. What have I done?

Re: Stuck GAV
Give it some light lube. Some are quite tight.

Re: Stuck GAV
The "fingers" can be adjusted. I used an ice pick pushed down into where the GAV needle fits to bend slightly the fingers and the "c-clip."
Alternatively you can remove the c-clip and try that. Or replace the c-clip with a small o-ring. Careful with expanding the fingers - it's possible to "break" one of the fingers off - although in my case it didn't affect the function, and actually served to make the GAV needle turn easier. (I haven't repaired/replaced it yet as there is no need.) Joe K
