Default Finally back on my 40....Electrical Question

I installed a new aftermarket wiring harness in my 40 a while back...A week after the feed to my electrical fuel pump shorted out...Now it is not charging the battery....Is there a way to run a new feed from the regulator to the battery until I get time to install an NOS harness I bought ?? All help appreciated as I would really like to drive the 40 but don't want to get stuck with a dead battery...........

The stock wiring is Regulator to the CB terminals. However the main power from the battery also connects to the CB terminals (via the Starter Solenoid and amp meter). You could run a wire direct from the Regulator terminal to the Starter Solenoid. The amp meter will not work correctly with it wired this way.

Note: Just checked and the 40 should have a Volt Meter, not the Amp Meter, so no problem at all, it is not even in the circuit.

Is your electric fuel pump connected using a relay? Might be a good idea to add one if not.
