Victoria Rear Seat Arm Rests
The Victoria I recently purchased does not have the rear seat arm rests. The upholstery is new and it looks bare in the rear seat without them. I would like to find a pair of originals but I have found that a company (C.W. Moss) sells a kit which uses aluminum castings. Has anyone used these and what do you think of them? Thanks for your help, Ed

Re: Victoria Rear Seat Arm Rests
Most major vendors have repo. The originals were wooden with a metal skin on top. Seems like aluminum casting is overkill and may be harder to mount….. guess a guess
I can send a pic of originals off car if you send me direct email [email protected] |

Ed
Does your car have the metal hook that the armrest mounts (slides) on to? The metal piece in the foreground with 2 screws.

Re: Victoria Rear Seat Arm Rests
Le Baron Bonney before the demise used to sell the wood core repro armrests that could be wood screwed to and from the back of the covered (cardboard) upholstery panel after the armrests are covered. Also a metal strap can be attached to the front of the arm rest back screwed thru the panel as in the kits, then secured to body wood as in the photo by massaging out the panel similar to the slant window tn. sedans using a stubby screwdriver or ratchet. Suggest lining the alum repops with a simple home made wood core mounted inside to receive wood screws. I've not found that much stress placed on the armrests when partially supported by the panel. Hope you have matching material for the armrests.
