WOW !
He lives nearby, where item located...not Castaic, so he said that I could pick it up 'if you win it' !

Whew, glad I know the value of cast iron and it ain't $545 per lb, IMO

Tod,
If you are viewing this tread. Put one of these dual updraft manifolds on your big "to do" list..... This looks simpler that casting an entire engine block and would also compliment your new downdraft manifolds.....

This is not scrap iron, it is a functional part. What other dual-up C.I. log manifolds have you seen? None are currently available. It's all about what you collect or want. If I had seen the listing the final bid would have been higher.

Hey Mike,
There was just such an intake , although aluminum, WITH two new carbs...never used, on the swap section a couple days ago. And the owner was only asking $250. (if I remember correctly). I almost pulled the trigger on that, but have enough 'stuff' as it is !

If you look at Charlie Yapp's site, you will find the same 2x2 updraft (nice) for a lot less than ebay item. I think that he calls it a 'scalded dog' intake or some such.

I do not know of any C I 2x2 currently being made, so TOD might make a run at that ?

I have a shelf full of old aluminum duals, both up and down, but I do not have this rare period C.I. manifold. Reproductions of it, even if C.I., are of no interest to me.

Hey Mike,
Who knew that you collect such duals (C I). I could have easily gotten it for you , had I known as the guy lives close to me.

You don't have any dual alum Winfield downdrafts , do you I have a couple of matched B rebuilt Winfields that would look/work nice on a Winfield intake

Not long ago, I did sell a couple of last of C I that I had. One to a barner here.
