Garage time
I finally got to spend some time in the garage working on my A. Got the Red Ball motometer installed and the right side tail light finished.

Re: Garage time
Guten Abend Vern, I like the thermometer position so much that I will rebuild it too. Do you have a picture of the steering tube bracket?

Vern, if you have a pic of the steering column bracket could you post it so that we can all see it?

Re: Garage time
Guten Abend Fordfreunde!
Today I improvised the thermometer bracket from flat brass band. Bending is well done under a gas burner flame and looks suitable. It is very advantageous always to have the thermometer in view.

Re: Garage time
Werner & Old31
The mount on my Red-Ball motometer is part of the housing. The attached pictures should show how it is attached. I made a steel strap that goes around the column and fits into the housing. The wedge shaped piece tightens the strap when the screw is run in. Nice job on yours Werner! Last edited by Vern; 05-30-2020 at 07:59 PM. |

Re: Garage time
Very nice housing. I didn't know the red dot so far. Intelligent solution to tighten the clamp with the wedge.
Thank you, Vern!
