Thanks!
Thanks for all your help & advice! I've located & bought a Bill Miller reproduction of the original Zip-A-Rak! Hope it gets here tomorrow. Bill W.

This is the first I've heard of a Zip-A-Rack. Do you have a picture?

Yo, Brother John,
I'll try, I think I've mastered shrinkin' the stinkin' pics. Have to send them to PAINT first, they were already "painted," I just wanted to shrink 'em. Bill W.
Blimey!! I did it!! Rack is retracted, only pic I had. I'll send extended pics when I get it installed on "Vermin." Original was rated to haul 710 LBS! One guy said he hauled a Model A motor on one from Northern Ca. to L.A. It'll haul my 75 LB scooter easy! Bill W.

It folds away real nice, and it won't get in your way when you work on the Vermin

I really didn't know what a Zip-it rack was until I saw the picture Bill posted above. Then I realized that one of the guys in our club has one on his 31 town sedan. Neat rack. He only uses it when we go on trips and he has a trunk on it. Great idea!

My error. That weight would be out about about 5 FEET beyond the frame with little support. I'd like to hear the results.

Hey, Tim Kelley,
Thanks for straightening out some the nay-sayers! This rack is built "FORD TUFF' & I will mount it with grade 8 bolts & nuts! It will make me self sufficient as I can load & unload my scooter by myself and "ZIP" the rack back in. Pics with scooter loaded soon. Vanity & pride: I'm somewhat disabled, but "play like" I'm NOT. Don't want a drive on carrier hangin' out to get run over by some ooold lady in an ooold Taurus with frosted over headlights while I'm in the hardware store or the topless bar!
Buddies wonder how I drive my coupe? Just fall in behind me, and I'll show you, if you can keep up!
Maybe I should load a Model A long block on it for pictures!
Sorry for some of my corny "humor" but it helps a little when hurtin' like a bitch & pain pills won't be ready for 2 days. Bill W.
