Default !930 Phaeton Rubber Mats

Im redoing my 1930 Standard Phaeton and im trying to figure out the rear rubber mat. Was there any kind of carpet snaps or studs to hold the mat in place or does it just lay there?

I have seen some snaps in a few 28/29 Phaetons for the rear mat, but to the best of my knowledge for the 30 Phaetons, the rear mat just sits there. My 30 Phaeton I restored some years ago had the original rear floor boards, and there had never been anything installed into the rear floor boards to hold a mat in position.

I just looked at our rear rubber floor mat in our 1930 Standard Phaeton. The reproduction floor mat doesn't have any stud holes. The sub floor doesn't have any studs to retain the rear rubber mat or holes for studs to be mounted in. The rubber mat fits well. Interesting thing about the reproduction rear mat, it is embossed "1931 2 door". Huh??

Thanks guys! The rails in the back of my car all had to be replaced so I couldn't tell if there had been holes for carpet snaps or not. Guess you just don't drive fast enough for it to blow out. Les, I just got your new RHD drive book. Good job sir. Looking forward to the rest of your books.
