Re: Model A commercial vehicles picture thread!!
Here are some where the commercial vehicle isn't the center of attention in the image. These images also show non-Ford trucks and vehicles and allows a chance to compare them side by side.

Re: Model A commercial vehicles picture thread!!
Interesting that most of the fire trucks don't have a front bumper.

Re: Model A commercial vehicles picture thread!!
Those poor firemen had no top either, I guess the general thinking of the day was that a rain storm would eventually put out a fire should a house burn down during the winter months.
Anyone ever seen a Model "AA" armored truck ?????

Re: Model A commercial vehicles picture thread!!
Over on the H.A.M.B. user Froghawk posted these great images of his Great Uncle with their 82-A truck. His great uncle was a Ford Tri-Motor pilot and used the truck as a support vehicle.
Be sure to check out the original post for more of the history and pictures.... And the plane itself -Tim |

Re: Model A commercial vehicles picture thread!!
Here are two really cool shots of a '31 Widebed Pickup from Montana.
Note the emergency light on the headlight bar and the siren mounted on the roof. I've attached two much larger resolutions here if someone wishes to download and check out the details. -Tim |

Re: Model A commercial vehicles picture thread!!
I posted this picture a month ago showing a 1931 AA Ambulance at the Hoover Dam site.
I recently found the image below showing an injured person being loaded into the back of what could very well be the same vehicle. Found it on a completely different website about the Hoover dam project so it was a random find. I like those! -Tim |

Re: Model A commercial vehicles picture thread!!
Well, this thread has hit over 60,000 views so why not post a pretty cool picture to celebrate?
On the left is a very rare Special Delivery parked next to a Panel Delivery. The cars say "Holcomb Candy Co." with Jacksonville Texas written on them. They are parked in front of the store bearing the same name. -Tim Last edited by WTSHNN; 02-28-2013 at 02:38 PM. |
