2017 Model A Ford NWRM
The NWRM (Northwest Regional Meet) will be held in Coos Bay/North Bend. This is a three day event as our club has no experience with events and planning and we didn't know what to expect. Response and participation has been phenomenal. So far there are
205 registrations 166 Model A's 55 participants in the steering gear seminar 34 adults and 6 children have entered the Hubley Derby 18 participants in the Restorer's Class evaluation 60 Model A's are entered in the car games 140 Model A's entered in the tour to Bandon 132 Model A's entered in the scenic drive Both the welcome social and farewell dinner will be well attended The Mill is sponsoring a poker run in town There is an event guide planned; (not yet printed) The meet is being held at the Mill Casino: participants don't need to be in the casino as that is a question that has been asked at times. Kids are WELCOME and security here is a high priority inside and outside. There is still time to register, the only requirement being a MAFCA member with a valid membership number. The rooms at the Mill were booked long ago, however there are still rooms available at the alternate hotel about one mile South of the Mill. Any criticisms, comments, or questions are appreciated. Looking forward to being there! My Dad and I got infected with "Model A -ism " in Myrtle Point c.1966 at my cousin's: the Pearts. The Church's of Coquille are my relatives too. So excited to be up there visiting the old stomping ground - Dad born in Coquelle in 1925 and is not going to come with us. THANK YOU for all your work putting this event on!
