The engine number is pretty hard to read, but here is a link to the Model A Ford Club of America website Reference page. You can look up the number to see when it was made and there is a lot more information on that page that would help you.
Good luck and welcome!

thanks for your answer
i know already this link and i found other information on different website like fordgarage.com or here:
http://www.plucks329s.org/pdf/studie...ND%20CODES.pdf

on the body picture, there are not letters to identify the location
on the engine picture, it doesn't look like what is explained:
no alpha character
SMW: why
A 591: November 1927

is it risked to buy a Ford A without decoding this numbers ?

thanks

If the car is already registered in France I should think there is no problem; the engine is certainly a Model A engine!
Does the engine have a number stamped on the left side of the block by the head gasket?
Where exactly on the car is " A SMW USA 591" ?
Do you know if the engine is a 3.3 litre or one of the UK made ones that were about 2.2litre.
Post a picture of the car and we should be able to identify better.

The photos look like it is a mid-to-late 1928, by US standards. It is not a 1927. It has 1929-31 headlight lenses.

Pardon my French, but maybe this is close:

Cette voiture est tres jolie!
Les photos semblent comme si c’était un milieu à la fin 1928, par les normes américaines. Il n'est pas 1927. Il a des lentilles de phares de 1929-31.

this is a 1928 Ford A Phaeton. The owner talk about Deluxe option. But i'm not agree because for me the Deluxe option is proposed in 1930 and there isn't chromed upper windshield stantions on the car.

yes Nicoptic. From the picture it is either a 28 or 29 and the official deluxe option didn't arrive before the 1930 model. It has a lot of extras on it- side mounted spare wheels with chrome trims, white wall tyres, mirrors, a cover over the back seats etc.. but it is not an official Deluxe model of a 1928 or 1929 Model A as Ford didn't make any deluxe As before 1930. Looks a smart car nevertheless, but a bit "flashy" for purists!

You do not like the deluxe option or for you a Ford A must remain in its origin configuration? To this subject, the color of this car can be original?
Is it often difficult to decode the body and engine number?

The fact that the Deluxe option is not original makes it fall the cost of the car ?

Depends - are you buying it as an investment or to enjoy driving around? It wont win any fine point judging in its current state but looks like a great car!

It would depend on you and what you want. If you like the appearance and don't mind that it's not original, then buy it! It is a good looker. If you are looking for an all original looking restoration then you might want to pass on it, or be prepared to spend more money and effort.
