Default "Aged" photos of our 1930

We've been lucky enough to have a great mild autumn here in Western New York so we've been out driving the snot out of our car. We snapped a few pics I thought looked great so I just thought I'd share them. Here are the originals and the "aged" ones.

Thanks,

Wally

Next photo shoot toss a bunch of dust and run it through some deep mud puddles, then the aged photos will certainly fool anyone.

Yes, your car is too clean and shiny!

I did similar pictures of my car on my iPhone. My car is also too clean.

It is amazing the power we hold in our hand in a smart phone.

Wally,

What technique did you use to age the photos?

Wally just bought his A and was on his way home with it when he decided to stop and take a few photos, that's why it's so clean, isn't that right Wally?????

Great results, it looks like a photo of the era. How did you do it?

On my iPhone, I have a free app called Snapseed that modifies photos like this. You take the picture like normal, then you apply 3 filters to it: "B&W", then "Grainy Film", then "Vignette" to darken the edges.

Here's another done the same way, taken at Greenfield Village in September during the Old Car Festival.

iPhoto has some fun effects also. this is antique with blurred edges.

I like Wally's tho with the scratches making it look old and abused...

Thanks Jim. I just downloaded 'Snapseed' for my iPad and iPhone. A new toy to play with...
